Low Society Issue #1, El Milwas

El Milwas, a new zine from René Amado and Low Society! This new project is the first issue in a new zine series from Low Society.

In this zine, René presents photos from the Milwaukee (aka El Milwas) lowrider scene shot by him between 2021 and 2026. René says he wanted to focus on the Milwaukee scene as the theme for this first zine to put more attention and spotlight on the tight knit community that exists there. While most may not associate lowriding with Milwaukee, la cultura is alive and well there, and with the south side streets being very familiar stomping grounds for René, he thought it was important to kick off this new series by showcasing his home turf.

René also showcased photos from the Milwaukee scene in his Low, Book II project as well as in the Lolo Fest book. All photos included in this new project are exclusive to this project and have not previously been shown in any others.
